Finding a hotel in Kansas City to meet our needs proved to be no easy task, but we finally did it! We will gather at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Overland Park, Kansas from Wednesday, September 24 through Sunday, September 28. There will be a hospitality room set up with sodas, coffee and water available where you can get together for gossip, chatting, finding new answers to old questions, or embellishing your old sea yarns. Due to Kansas state law we can't provide our own liquor but there is a bar in the hotel. We have arranged to have rooms available for our Reunion participants at the Wyndham Garden at a special price of $75.00 + 13% tax ( $84.75 ) A Continental Breakfast each day is included in that price. The hotel has ample FREE parking. Be sure to inform them that you are with the Marcus Island Reunion when making your reservation. The cutoff date for this special deal is August 27, 2003. Since the Kansas City International Airport is about 35-40 miles from the hotel you can plan on paying $37.00 per person round-trip for the shuttle to the hotel. Tickets may be purchased at the airport baggage claim area. Taxis are very expensive unless you can share a ride with someone.
